Interior design for a house in the Yvelines
- Dimensions: 160m²
- Localisation: La Celle-Saint-Cloud (78)
Located in the Yvelines, this house was in good condition but lacked personality. The new owners wanted to make these neutral spaces their own. They entrusted us with the task of revealing the potential of the rooms and infusing a warm atmosphere suited to their family life. The intervention focused on the design of custom-made furniture, the selection of furniture and lighting, as well as updates to certain finishes.
Living Spaces
The through-living room was designed as a multifunctional space, capable of accommodating both social gatherings and remote work.
On the garden side, a living area is organized around a suspended TV unit. A backsplash integrates a radiator and elegantly extends the sofa (Home Spirit) with decorative niches. Among the selected lighting, there is an elegant brass floor lamp Mauricio (La Redoute).
At the center of the living area, a custom sideboard interacts with a botanical-patterned wallpaper and structures the space. The dining area is highlighted by eucalyptus green chairs (Hari Ondaretta) and brass pendant lights (Flowerpot & Tradition).
The existing kitchen, originally very graphic, was softened through targeted interventions to better integrate it into the overall space. Bar stools from Hay and oak handles from La Quincaillerie complete the setting.
A bow window naturally hosts a workspace and reading nook. A full-height, rhythmically designed bookshelf and a custom bench create a more intimate reception area.
Bedrooms
Upstairs, the bedrooms favor natural materials and soft tones.
In the master bedroom, a custom-designed platform facing the garden and a Polygon armchair from Prostoria create a pleasant reading area.
A secondary office is harmoniously integrated into the custom-designed dressing room.
For the color palette, touches of mint green punctuate the layout, adding depth and freshness.
