Home renovation following water damage

Le rez-de-chaussée
Au rez-de-chaussée de la maison, la cuisine existante en noyer très sombre laisse place à une cuisine laquée blanche, rehaussée de touches de chêne et d'un plan de travail en granit noir. Un espace pour deux tabourets donne une autre dimension à cette pièce ouverte sur le jardin.
Une arche en chêne habille et marque le passage vers l'escalier et l'étage de la maison.
Les nouvelles housses des chaises, dans les tons prune, kaki et jaune, s'accordent avec le tapis et reprennent les couleurs des tableaux accrochés aux murs. Les trois suspensions Tradition de Northern, volontairement discrètes, reprennent le ton de la très grande table elliptique de la salle à manger.
Dans l'entrée et le séjour, les changements sont apportés par un vert Lichen (Farrow and Ball) de chez et trois suspensions de tailles différentes de Northern.
Le bureau, la chambre d'amis et l'espace de télétravail
Dans le bureau, il fallait une couleur pouvant s'associer au meuble Ligne Roset orange existant, que les propriétaires souhaitaient conserver. Le bleu Hague Blue de Farrow and Ball habille la pièce et met en valeur la suspension Leaves (Bolia).
Dans la chambre d'amis, un grand linéaire de rangements sur mesure, doté d'un espace « banquette », se déploie le long du mur du couloir. Une suspension Eos en plume (Umage) apporte une note ludique et cohabite avec le canapé-lit vert kaki et le coussin orange vif.
À cet étage subsistait une salle de douche très peu utilisée, transformée en un espace de télétravail. La cloison a été abattue et un long espace bureau aménagé. Une grande baie vitrée intérieure apporte de la lumière dans la cage d'escalier : l'espace de circulation, très long et étroit, devient un espace de vie baigné de lumière.
À l’étage, un espace dédié à leur fille
L'étage accueille également un espace dédié à leur fille, composé d'une chambre, d'un dressing et d'une salle de douche. Des rangements sur mesure y ont été dessinés et réalisés.
Un papier peint très coloré marque la tête de lit, tandis que deux suspensions Kushi (KDLN) viennent atténuer la grande hauteur sous plafond.
La salle de douche est pensée dans des tons naturels. Le chêne et le carrelage ton pierre y donnent le fil conducteur, que l'on retrouve ailleurs dans la maison.
La chambre parentale
La chambre parentale et sa salle de douche sont les deux dernières pièces concernées par l'intervention. La couleur faisant partie intégrante du projet, le choix d'un rose et d'un vert très soutenus s'est imposé dans la chambre et le couloir menant à la salle de douche.
La salle de douche reprend les codes de celle du premier étage. Pour faire écho à la couleur verte de la chambre, un mur de carreaux 5x5 de chez Winckelmans vient l'habiller.
The Ground Floor
On the ground floor, the existing dark walnut kitchen was replaced with a white lacquered kitchen, enhanced with oak accents and a black granite countertop. A breakfast area with seating for two adds a new dimension to this space, which opens directly onto the garden.
An oak archway defines and highlights the transition toward the staircase and the upper floor of the house.
The new chair covers, in shades of plum, khaki, and yellow, coordinate with the rug and echo the colors found in the artworks displayed on the walls. The three discreet Tradition pendant lights by Northern complement the tone of the large elliptical dining table.
In the entrance hall and living room, the transformation is achieved through the use of Lichen green by Farrow & Ball and three Northern pendant lights of varying sizes.
The Office, Guest Room, and Home Workspace
In the office, the challenge was to select a color that would complement the existing orange Ligne Roset furniture, which the owners wished to keep. Hague Blue by Farrow & Ball envelops the room and highlights the Leaves pendant light by Bolia.
In the guest bedroom, a long run of custom-made storage units, incorporating a built-in bench, extends along the corridor wall. An Eos feather lamp by Umage introduces a playful touch and sits alongside a khaki-green sofa bed and a vibrant orange cushion.
This floor also contained a little-used shower room, which was transformed into a dedicated home office. The partition wall was removed and replaced by a long workstation. A large internal glazed partition brings natural light into the stairwell, transforming what was once a long and narrow circulation area into a bright and welcoming living space.
An Entire Floor Dedicated to Their Daughter
The upper floor also includes a dedicated area for the owners’ daughter, comprising a bedroom, a dressing room, and a shower room. Custom-made storage solutions were designed and installed throughout.
A colorful wallpaper defines the headboard wall, while two Kushi pendant lights by KDLN help soften the effect of the generous ceiling height.
The shower room was designed around natural tones. Oak finishes and stone-look tiles provide a common design thread that can be found throughout the house.
The Master Suite
The master bedroom and its adjoining shower room were the final spaces included in the renovation. Since color played a central role in the project, the choice of rich pink and green tones naturally emerged for both the bedroom and the corridor leading to the shower room.
The shower room follows the same design principles as the one on the first floor. To echo the green tones of the bedroom, one wall is clad in 5x5 cm ceramic tiles by Winckelmans, creating a strong visual connection between the two spaces.
