Creation of a swimming pool in the garden of a farmhouse
- Location: Rambouillet (78), France
- Features: Swimming pool, wooden deck, outdoor lounge, technical room
- Materials: Light stone, wood
A swimming pool in light stone
The rectangular swimming pool is surrounded by light stone coping matching the tones of the stone façade. Wide steps run across the full width of one end of the pool.
A wooden deck and an outdoor lounge
Along the pool, a wooden deck holds sun loungers and leads to a dining table in front of the façade and to a large outdoor lounge. The deck also gives direct access to the glazed doors of the former barn.
Around it, a large lawn and hedges structure the garden, which is bordered by the tall trees of the forest.
A technical room clad in wood
The pool's technical room backs onto the main building. Its façade is clad with light wood slats that hide the equipment without breaking the unity of the old building, where stone and timber framing remain dominant.
