Pour agrandir leur appartement existant, les propriétaires ont acquis un deux-pièces situé à l’étage supérieur afin de créer un vaste appartement en duplex de 150m². L’objectif consistait à concevoir un espace plus fluide et confortable, ajoutant deux chambres, deux salles d’eau, une salle de bains et deux WC, tout en conservant la cohérence architecturale de l’ensemble.
L’architecte d’intérieur a conçu une circulation linéaire qui longe les fenêtres de façon à révéler une perspective de près de 13 mètres reliant l’entrée, la cuisine, la salle à manger ainsi que le salon.
Un volume central en noyer structure l’ensemble et dissimule les portes et les rangements, permettant de rythmer les usages sans les cloisonner visuellement.
Ce projet d’aménagement intérieur porte une attention particulière au choix des matériaux et à leur mise en œuvre : calepinage du parquet, alignement de dalles grand format, orientation du veinage du bois. Chaque détail participe à l’harmonie générale.
Des éléments d’agencement sur mesure optimisent chaque mètre carré du duplex. Ces rangements accompagnent les volumes et jouent avec les contraintes de l’espace. Un espace bureau a été créé dans une alcôve surélevée aux teintes douces pour conserver une large ouverture sur les espaces de circulation.
Pensé comme une expérience sensible, le projet évolue au fil du parcours :
- le meuble miroir côté entrée devient progressivement laqué blanc en direction du salon ;
- la bibliothèque aux matières contrastées dialogue avec la table « Fracture Cosmic X » (Erwan Boulloud) ;
- un voile de métal (Sophie Mallebranche) filtre la lumière entre la cuisine et l’escalier.
Ce projet illustre parfaitement une approche précise, fluide et expressive de l’architecture d’intérieur, où les matériaux et une attention au détail façonnent un espace de vie contemporain.
To enlarge their existing property, the owners acquired a two-room apartment on the upper floor in order to create a spacious 150 sqm duplex. The objective was to design a more fluid and comfortable space, adding two bedrooms, two shower rooms, one bathroom and two separate toilets, while maintaining the architectural coherence of the whole.
The interior architect designed a linear circulation layout running alongside the windows, revealing a nearly 13-metre perspective connecting the entrance, kitchen, dining room and living room.
A central walnut volume structures the entire space and conceals doors and storage areas, creating rhythm between uses without visually partitioning them.
This interior design project pays particular attention to the choice of materials and their implementation: parquet layout, alignment of large-format tiles and orientation of the wood grain. Every detail contributes to the overall harmony.
Bespoke joinery elements optimise every square metre of the duplex. These storage units enhance the volumes and adapt to spatial constraints. A home office area was created within a raised alcove in soft tones, preserving a wide opening onto the circulation spaces.
Conceived as a sensory experience, the project unfolds progressively along the journey:
- the mirrored cabinet at the entrance gradually transitions to white lacquer towards the living room;
- the bookcase with contrasting materials interacts with the “Fracture Cosmic X” table (Erwan Boulloud);
- a metal veil (Sophie Mallebranche) filters the light between the kitchen and the staircase.
This project perfectly illustrates a precise, fluid and expressive approach to interior architecture, where materials and attention to detail shape a contemporary living space.
