Before & After: Interior renovation of a town hall
Située dans les Yvelines, nous avons accompagné la mairie de Tessancourt-sur-Aubette, restée inchangée depuis les années 80, dans une une rénovation complète entre patrimoine et modernité. L’objectif : moderniser le bâtiment tout en respectant son caractère patrimonial et les normes d’accessibilité ERP.
Plus qu’un simple chantier, ce projet d'architecture tertiaire vise à redonner à la mairie toute sa place au cœur de la vie communale. À la fois espace administratif et symbole du lien social, elle a été repensée pour conjuguer tradition et confort contemporain. La réorganisation des volumes et des ambiances permet de conserver l’identité historique tout en apportant fonctionnalité et accessibilité, notamment pour les personnes à mobilité réduite.
Les travaux d'aménagement ont inclus la création d’une rampe d’accès, le déplacement de la salle des mariages et l’élargissement des passages et de la signalétique, rendant le lieu conforme aux normes ERP. L'ensemble offre désormais un espace plus ouvert, lumineux et accueillant, fidèle aux valeurs d’inclusion, d’équité et de proximité de la commune.
Located in the Yvelines, we accompanied the town hall of Tessancourt-sur-Aubette, unchanged since the 1980s, through a complete renovation balancing heritage and modernity. The objective: modernize the building while respecting its heritage character and ERP accessibility standards.
More than a simple construction project, this office space design project aims to restore the town hall to its rightful place at the heart of community life. At once an administrative space and a symbol of social connection, it was reimagined to combine tradition with contemporary comfort. The reorganization of volumes and atmospheres preserves the historical identity while bringing functionality and accessibility, particularly for people with reduced mobility.
The renovation work included the creation of an access ramp, the relocation of the wedding hall, and the widening of passages and signage, bringing the building into compliance with ERP standards. The ensemble now offers a more open, bright, and welcoming space, true to the values of inclusion, equity, and community closeness.
